Delete your Anchorline account

Last updated 8 November 2026

Anchorline is a dive log app by Egbert De Pauw. This page explains how to delete your Anchorline account and what happens to your data.

In the app

  1. Open Settings → Sync.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Deletion is immediate. You need an internet connection.

No longer have the app?

Email support@anchorline.eu with the subject "Delete my Anchorline account", from the address you signed up with. We confirm within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We reply when it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in.
  • Every dive, note, equipment item and gas analysis stored in the cloud.
  • All attachment files.
  • The dives and data on the device you delete from. Other devices signed in to the account that are online when you delete lose the synced data straight away and are signed out within about an hour. A device that's offline at the time is signed out when it next connects, but keeps its copy until the app is reset or removed there. Copies kept only on a device, such as downloaded attachments, also stay until then.

What is kept

  • Crash reports (Sentry) carry only a random install id, not your account, so they cannot be matched to you. They expire after 30 days.
  • Backups of our database age out; deleted data can remain in them for up to 7 days.
  • Subsurface Cloud: if you synced to Subsurface, that account and its dives are not touched. Delete them there if you want them gone.
  • Dives on your dive computer are not affected.

Signing up again

If you sign up again with the same email, you get a new, empty account. Nothing from the deleted one comes back.

More detail is in the privacy policy.
